Fiona McMullen (BAdipEd, PG Cert Spec Ed)

Fiona is a trained teacher and special educator. She has a particular interest in learning difficulties and helping low progress readers. To date, Fiona has been involved
in a number of research projects focused on remedial reading instruction and beginning reading instruction, as well as hands on experience teaching students in a variety of settings. She has a passion and energy that engages students completely, resulting in fantastic outcomes for children who were previously poor readers.

Since becoming a mother, Fiona would like to share her knowledge and passion for reading instruction with other parents to equip all children with the necessary literacy skills to succeed in school and beyond. She aims to untangle to confusion some parents face over how best to prepare their child for school by providing simple, every day activities that can be implemented by anyone, at any time.

Fiona is available for school and Kindy In-Service training and also delivers short workshops for parents and teachers on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, QLD. Please email to request more info !
